Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home by using a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined home revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding nsfas status and want not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
